3 Years of the NI Chamber Orchestra of Bitola
On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of its founding, the orchestra is preparing a concert evening to mark its artistic journey, development, and presence on the music scene so far. Over the past three years, the orchestra has realized more than 30 concerts, performed on important stages across Macedonia, and appeared as a guest in several cities throughout the country, building a strong connection with audiences and a distinctive artistic expression. It has also expanded its presence beyond the country, with guest performances in Vienna and Rome, confirming that its sound carries value beyond the Macedonian music scene. The concert marking the 3rd anniversary is conceived as a stylistic musical journey through European musical modernism, neoclassicism, folk-inspired expression, and chamber elegance. The program brings together works by Claude Debussy, Peter Warlock, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Béla Bartók, Edward Elgar, Giya Kancheli, and Peter Heidrich, creating a sound world filled with color, subtlety, virtuosity, and poetic depth. The program will be performed in two parts. The concert will be conducted by Borjan Canev. This concert evening will be a story of three years of work, stages, audiences, journeys, and music that continues to create its own space. June 4, 2026, 20:00, Officers’ Hall, Bitola.
